If you're running an international business from Europe or Switzerland, it's natural to want to show product prices in both Euros (EUR) and Swiss Francs (CHF). However, if you're using Wix as your website platform, there are some important limitations you should be aware of.
Single Currency Limitation on Wix
Wix currently does not support multiple currencies for displaying product prices. This means that when you set up your store, you can only choose one primary currency to operate your website—either Euro or Swiss Franc, not both.
Once you select a currency:
All your product prices, checkout totals, and invoices will be shown in that single currency.
Switching between currencies or displaying both simultaneously is not supported on Wix's standard ecommerce platform.
Customers cannot toggle between currencies at the front end.
What Does This Mean for Business Owners?
If you cater to both Swiss and European customers, you’ll need to make a strategic decision about which currency best suits your primary audience. For example:
If most of your traffic and transactions come from EU countries, it makes sense to set the website’s currency to Euro (EUR).
If you’re targeting mainly Swiss customers, then go with Swiss Franc (CHF).
Final Thoughts
While Wix is a powerful and user-friendly, it currently lacks support for multi-currency ecommerce.
