If you’ve ever received notifications from different service providers like Wix, you might be left scratching your head, wondering
—"Why am I paying multiple companies for the same website?"
This confusion is common, especially for website owners who use a combination of hosting services, domain registrars, and third-party platforms. Let’s break it down step-by-step using a real-world example to help you understand where each payment goes and why.
1. Wix Premium Subscription Notifications
Many of our clients received a notification from Wix stating that a premium subscription costing INR 499/month was due. Naturally, the first thought would be:
"Do I need to pay Wix directly, even though I already pay my hosting provider?"
We have an enterprise-level hosting agreement with Wix, which means they’ve set up a separate dedicated server for our company’s clients.
Wix bills us directly for all our hosting accounts.
You receive a single consolidated hosting invoice from us—not from Wix.
So, if you get a notification from Wix about a premium subscription, you can safely ignore it.
You don’t need to make any direct payment to Wix. It’s already included in the hosting services we provide and bill you for.
2. Your Domain Name: GoDaddy and Other Registrars
While hosting and website management fall under our scope, domain name registrations do not.
Your domain name is usually registered through a provider like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or another registrar.
This is a separate annual cost you’ll need to handle directly with your domain registrar.
We don’t bill you for domain renewals because we don’t control or manage that registration—you own the domain, and you keep the ownership rights.
In simple terms:
Hosting & website services → Invoice from us.
Domain renewals → You pay your registrar (GoDaddy, etc.) directly.
3. Why This Separation Exists
Many people assume website hosting, domain registration, and website design all come from the same provider—but in reality, they are three distinct services:
This separation ensures:
Better control over your domain ownership.
Specialized service for each area.
Transparency in billing.
4. Summary of What You Need to Pay
To put it simply:
Ignore Wix subscription notifications. Wix bills us, and we bill you for hosting.
Renew your domain directly with GoDaddy or whichever registrar you used.
Pay our invoices for hosting, maintenance, and other web services.
This approach keeps things organized and ensures you have full control over your domain while enjoying enterprise-grade hosting services without dealing with multiple vendors.
💡 Tip: Always keep track of your domain renewal dates to avoid website downtime. Losing a domain because of missed payments can be costly and sometimes irreversible.
